LET US WITH A GLADSOME MIND

LET us with a gladsome mind,
Praise the Lord for he is kind;

For his mercies shall endure,
Ever faithful, ever sure.

Let us sound his name abroad,
For of gods he is the God;

He, with all-commanding might,
Filled the new-made world with light;

All things living he doth feed,
His full hand supplies their need;

He His chosen race did bless,
In the wasteful wilderness;

He hath with a piteous eye,
Looked upon our misery;

Let us then with gladsome mind,
Praise the Lord, for he is kind.
                                                   John Milton

I have loved this song from childhood, and has been one of my  favourite song  because  while on school assembly ground we do sing it ,singing from our SOP (songs of praise).Psalm 103:17 says "The mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting."In his mercy has he kept us till this day for he is our God.The psalmist also said in another song Psalm 92:1 "It is a good thing to give thanks to the Lord , and to sing praises unto thy name,O most high."

That's the difference between my God and any other gods on the earth , always ready to be my close  confidant.He is God and him alone is worthy, his name alone is worthy, his acts alone is worthy, his faithfulness alone is worthy, of being sound abroad.Among gods our God is the God.He should be praised for making us his chosen race, a blessed generation.

John Milton appreciate his goodness and mercy by singing this song, let's join in singing this song  again and again.You are welcome.
